Cameras usually deliver images in RGB (red green blue) color space. Colored pixels may also be converted to color values of other color spaces or to a gray value. On the basis of the color of an object, a wide variety of results may be determined: the maturity of a fruit, the quality of a perishable product or the course of a chemical reaction.
